There is a bug in WordPress that results in a plain white screen with no error message. This makes it confusing as you have no idea where to look and what to fix.
Usually it is caused when a script runs against the PHP memory limit. It can also happen through a configuration on the server. Plugins that conflict with each other are also often the cause. It is also possible that a user only sees the white screen on certain parts of their site.
